Hi All,

I've read that most of people take three years tax returns to the interview, but after carefully reading instructions for Affidavit of Support, I didn't see that they require three years.

I have my interview on May 09 and we have prepared the following:

2005 Tax Return of my fiance

Letter from the bank with opening date, deposits in the last year and current balance

His Investment statements

My Investement statements

He is self-employed and therefore the employment letter doesn't apply to us.

I'd like to be absolutely sure we go prepared in the interview.

Anyone has any suggestions? Feedback greatly appreciated

If your fiance is a self-employed. He needs to have his business license and last year income tax return, notorized I134.

It depends on your consulate. Since ur in canada (unless on vancouver side) and so is KarenCee than im guessing Montreal only requires 1 year. Good news for me since Montreal is my consulate too.

I will be going to Vancouver cuz I live in Calgary.

Like they say, it depends on your consulate. Im going to be sending half my desk to the consulate in Casablanca. They want 3 years of tax returns, employer's letter, pay stubs, blood type, mother's maiden name, sworn statement, first-born child, small bits of Jimmy Hoffa....

Judging by the others using your same consulate, you should be cool with just one year's worth of taxes. Good Luck! :)
