Hello All:

I got a message from USCIS that my father's I-130 application was approved!!! :dance: We are both surprised that his application has been approved already. I sent in the application early July and got the NOA1 on my birthday (July 21st). Now to know it's been approved. It's taken 6 months -- now on to NVC!!!

10/23/2007 - Receive SSC (took 9 days from POE)

12/04/2007 - Receive Welcome Letter

12/14/2007 - Received 2nd Welcome Letter and Green card!!!

Congratulations! You can use James' shortcut in the NVC process. Have your father open an email account (yahoo, hotmail, etc) to take care of his choice of agent.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

Thanks for the info. He has yahoo and hotmail email addresses, so I will follow James' shortcuts for NVC. I didn't find this site until later down in the process for my hubby, so I am sure I will be able to save some time with my dad's petition. :thumbs:

Feb. 25, 2010 : my 31st Birthday

Feb. 26, 2010 : Air21 delivered my Visa & Passport early morning. Yay!

Feb. 27, 2010 : Saturday "bought pasalubong"

Feb. 28, 2010 : Sunday "bought luggage bag"

Mar. 02, 2010 : PDOS Seminar at Quirino, Paco Manila.. went back to US Embassy 4pm..

Mar. 03, 2010 : POE, Minneapolis, St. Paul International Airport

Mar. 27, 2010 : received a WELCOME Letter and my Greencard.. Yay!

Apr. 03, 2010 : received my SSA Card.. finally!
