HellO!

My wife's PR is expiring on 1/26 and some reasons we didnt file. we thought we have to file in 90 days so we will file with in 90 days. But here I see that everyone has right on the dot of 90 days.

I am planning on sending on Monday. 12/10.

So I am little worried about me. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge to share on this?

thank you,

It is recommended to file 90 days before the conditional card expires so as to give the USCIS service center ample time to issue the extension letter.

We'll be filing a week "late". I was sure I'd we ready at the dot of 90 days but a series of mishaps (including a fractured toe, which sidelined me for several days, and other crazyiness occurred. BUT it's all ready to go in tomorrow's mail wootsmiley.gif (eight day "late").

We are leaving on Saturday for our first trip out of the country since hubby got his g/c and we can leave with a clear conscience...to the sunny Caribbean sunburn.gif.

BTW: this is what we are sending

copies of:

his g/c, passport and both of our PA driver's licenses (same address)

joint...health insurance, car insurance, and homeowner insurance

HUD-1 joint home purchase and joint HOA bill, joint water bill and joint sewer bill

Joint taxes for 2006 & 2005 (attached with transcripts from IRS)

Joint Bank account from two banks (statement present and past to how accounts have been joint long standing)

We think our financial documents are strong and did not ask friends for statements.

Good luck to everyone... I keep you all posted and thanks for everyone's help.

There's no requirement to file right when the window opens. However, the later you file, the more risk you run of having to file late if your application is rejected on the first try.

IMHO, you're going to need some more evidence to round out your application. You're great on the financials, and light on the evidence of a bonafide relationship --maybe some pictures? etc.

To the OP: I had a slight problem when I first submitted my packet, and had it returned to me. I was glad that I had lots of time to deal with it, if I had needed to. The earlier within your 90 day window, the better, IMHO. :)

Thanks for the advice. No pix - hubby is a photographer and I hate to have my pic taken. He is the one taking pix at all the events. It was always my understanding that strong financials (co-mingling of property, bank accounts etc.) is what they really are looking for. Anyone who is committing marriage fraud can have a bunch of huggy kissy photos taken, but I think it unlikely they would jointly buy a house or have a bank account one or the other can empty out.

I guess we'll find out. I'm hoping for the best. If they come back, we'll deal with it.

We did not send any pics. In addition to apartment leases, insurance policy information and extensive financial and tax records, we sent medical records showing that my wife is pregnant with our first child. We also sent a letter from our church showing that we are registered parishioners there.

We filed ours two weeks later from the 90-day dot. Recieved Biometrics Appointment Letter first, later NOA. We have no new photos either, only few old ones we had for AOS. We do not have a house or lease with our names on it, only hubby. No properties nor bills with both our names. No letters from friends. We have joint account and insurance (life, health) and joint tax return. I have power of attorney.

Good luck to you.

I was a month or so late.

At the time I was convinced that I would be filing for and getting Citizenship before I heard anything, now they have screwed that as well.

Pictures for removal of conditions? If you want to fair enough, but why?

We filed only 40 days before the expiration of the Green Card, because our second son was due in the 90-days window, and we wanted to include his birth certificate in our evidence. 40 days was short for me, because I wanted to have continuous documentation of my legal status for export control issues, and the NOA came late - when I got it I had already made a infopass appointment to get a stamp in my passport. One might not get a stamp after only 20 days waiting fo the NOA.
