Hi!

I am married with american man, and I came from the Philippines. Now, we have 19 months old son. We been together for almost 3 years. My visa and my passport are already expired last Aug. But I got my SSN and driving certification as my ID. We can't process my papers for Adjustment of Status because my husband was diagnosed with cancer. I am afraid about my situation right now. Please, help me!

Doc & Mae's Timeline

Nov. 15 2003 Met Mae in chat room. Began chatting daily with cam

Dec 2003 Still chatting two hours daily

Jan 2004 Getting serious. Talking about marriage

Feb 14 2004 Asked for her hand in marriage Yes Yes Yes!

Mar 22 2004 Civil wedding in Cebu. Dropping of the coins!

April 3 2004 Returned to USA... Very sad day...

May 1 2004 Contacted immigration attorney

June 1 2004 Attorney filed for Visa

June 9 2004 Received Receipt Notice

Dec 9 2004 I-130 Approved

Jan 13 2005 I-129F Approved

Mar 19 Interview set for April 15th! Yahoo! </span>

Interview April 15th

Documents missing Returned on April 18th with missing documents. Now we don't know what our situation is. Nobody will tell us anything.... GRRRRRRR

April 21st: Approved!

August 5th: Received Visa!!!!

August 20th: Headed to LAX to meet my wife! YAYYYYY

I am sorry about your husband's diagnosis, but how is it that you can't apply for AOS because of it? Is he not working so you think he wouldn't qualify as a sponsor? Can't you find a co-sponsor? His parents, brother, sister, best friend, uncle...?

If your visa is expired and you do not currently have a pending AOS application, I'm not sure, but I think you would be considered illegal at this point, and you ould be deported.
