Just an Update......

Hello my Visa Journey Family I just wanted to give you all a brief update on whats going on with our case. Well first of we do Honor and give Thanks to the Lord for all things!!!!!!!!!

It has not been a walk in the park trying to get a Police report from the time my husband was in China; It has consumed about 2 months of our time. We have really been going through somethings with the NVC. They have sent me a check list saying we needed the Police Report to complete the case. I didn't know what to do except pray. After numerous failed attempts to contact the Nigerian Embassy In China to get the Police report, i still do not have a police report in hand. According to thy word I can cast my cares on God and I can ask what I will and it SHALL be DONE. I want to know what am I going to do. I know the God I serve can make ways where their seems to be no way and he can reach in the impossible and pull out the possible. So currently we are still at the NVC, waiting for a miracle so our case can complete and we can move on and get ready for the interview, but I a strong belief and enough faith to believe that by the end of the week that ends on 12-21-2007 our case will be complete. I have talked to God about it and HE GOT IT. He is in the blessing business. So I'm not worried. God didn't give me a husband for me to spend the rest of my life separated or alone. Our relationship was built of the solid rock of God. And THIS TOO SHALL PASS. THIS WILL BE A MEMORY AND A TESTIMONY. GOD HAS PROMISED TO TURN MY STUMBLING BLOCKS INTO STEPPING STONES AND TURN MY TESTS INTO TESTIMONIES, I BELIEVE THAT.............

If there is anything that anyone can suggest or just wanna leave an encouraging word you are more than welcome

have you tried checking out the china forum to see where they get their police reports from the area your husband lived? Maybe contact the china police office directly. I really don't know.

Sorry to hear you are still struggling with this. When I was at that stage, I was having a hard time getting reports from Ethiopia which is where he lived as a teen. I was not able to get any results from the Cameroonian Embassy in Addis Abeba, but I was able to get help through a man whose daughter was a former student from the H.S. where I work. That was a Godsend then!

Have you tried getting in contact with local Chinese organizations in the United States? In our area we have community outreach centers for various cultural groups and many offer free legal help for their expats. The next area you may want to check is the Missionary route. Several organizations including the Red Cross and Catholic Relief services have offices around the World. You may have to continue to network until you find a good Samaritan who is will ing to do the legwork for you.

Lastly, How about the Asia forum? Have you posted your plea there in hopes that there is some on VJ who lives in that region and can help?

I was going to suggest the China forum also. Get the address / phone number from the department in China that handles his police report and contact them directly.

Post in that forum with detailed info about his stays there so someone can find a contact for you.

I only have support and prayer to offer. The above suggestions both sound like good ideas. My lawyer has already added 4 months to my case. We paid him to do this. I only can imagin how frustrated you must be, since my journey has not been as long as yours. You two are so close you can almost feel him. Through the grace of god anything is possible.

I too agree that you should post your situation in the Asian forum. At this point, it does not hurt to try.

Also - although I am not in your shoes, I am encouraged by your faith! Keep the faith, the word tells us that there is life and death in the power of the tongue. In addition, we must demonstrate faith in order to please Him. So keep it up, and don't be discouraged.

THANK YOU ALL FOR THE REPLIES, I HAVE POSTED IN THE ASIAN ABOUT A MONTH AGO AND I DID GET SOME PEOPLE THAT WERE WILLING TO OFFER INFORMATION BUT MOST TURNED ME DOWN. I PRETTY MUCH MADE MY CASE AND ASKED FOR HELP, TO MY DISMAY NO ONE WAS WILLING TO HELP. THEY ONLY GAVE ADVICE ON WHAT I COULD DO. THANKS AGAIN FOR THE HELP AND WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT

Try again to post in the China forum and ask for the contact address / phone number from that department in China.

Have you contacted them already ? Where you able to get the address ?

They are also having some trouble with getting police clearance from China. The last post is especially helpful and it may help you in your situation.
