Sooooooooo........he got approved!!!

The whole thing went especially great .......perfect actually. Made excellent time on the road.....7.5 hours from Sarnia to Montreal including about 6 stops ( I have to pee a lot and I smoke :wacko: ) The guards were super nice and very polite , very professional and thorough. Got in about 7:45 am waited about 4 mins before he took us all up. Progress clipped right along and before we knew it we were standing at the window handing over docs and having what felt like an interview type conversation with the lady at the window. Waited a bit longer following the chat and then hubby had to do the fingerprint thing, then back to the waiting room ......another 20 mins or so and it was interview time. We walked in the room , he handed back our docs and commented on the name of our town. I was fiddling with the papers in the folder when the hub nudged me and said hey you need to raise your hand and swear. So I laughed and said "oh yeah,I do ". He said and I quote " I really dont have anything to ask you except " how do you like living in the US?" Hub laughed, stumbled and with a cheeky grin said " Oh I loooooooove it". That was it , "all set" he said "you can pick up the visa tomorrow". Had we known they would give it to us the next day for sure , we would have stayed another night but we emailed at the beginning of the week and were told no guarantees , so we didnt make kid arrangements for the extra day**sigh** NBD , they'll mail it and hub can get it in 2 weeks when he goes back up.

No mention was ever made about Scott's Canadian Forces pension being included in the support package. My reported income was $280.00 under the amount for our family size. I went armed with additional proof of child support , cash assets, investments etc.......nothing required.

All I can figure is they got an entirely new staff in Montreal. Each and every single person was respectful, friendly, easy to get along with and very flexible.

Montreal was snowy and cold but lovely. Was a beotch walking in the slush and snowy sidewalks. Stayed at the Holiday Inn about 10 mins walk from the consulate.......it was adequate.

So all in all thats the nutshell. :thumbs:
