I was tired of waiting for the EAD approval. I got my travel documents approved on 13th april but nothing happened with my EAD. I decided to go to USCIS local office and not wait till 90 days. I went today (18th April) and they tell me that my EAD was approved on 13th itself and that they must be waiting for my finger prints to send me my card. How funny!! how am i supposed to know when is my finger printing or my case approval if they dont send me the documents or do not update the site?

Whatever has happened has happened. Nevertheless Im happy that my EAD is approved and they took my finger prints today and she told me that my card will be sent to me in 7 days.

Thanks visa journey and forum friends for the valuable information you share.

My advice is dont wait till the 90 days to see whether you are approved. Just walk in at the end of 2 months to see the case status at the local office (if possible). And all you know is you might have been approved. And since they dont update the website (as my case) it might prove to be of some help.

Good luck to all

That really sucks... But good for you. And even thouh I hope that is not what happens to everyone, I guess people don't have anything to lose by going to local USCIS office and checking their status. BTW did you schedule an INFOPASS or did you just walk in??
