Hello all, we have been fortunate that everything went smotthly, it took some time, but we r together now. Had a quick Q, we have our greencard interview in a few weeks. They have asked us to bring a lot of paperwork, including medical clearance (in a sealed envolpe) for my wife.is this the one that we subitted earlier, or do we need to get another one?

Please tell us if any of you are preparing for the interview or just finsihed it? How was your experience?

Thanks,Bav

Hi Bav! I see from your Timeline that you got the K1 visa, arrived in USA and married on June 16th (one day after us :) ). Please add your AOS Timeline too!

Bring copies of all your paperwork to the AOS interview, especially your marriage certificate and AOS packet. No, you do not have to get another medical, that is the one you submitted earlier (did you submit a vaccination supplement, given by a civil surgeon here in USA? If not, you will have to get that one). Be sure to bring in some paperwork with both your names on it because that's the most important thing, like utility bill, credit card and joint bank accounts, insurance, photos and maybe Affidavits from friends, too.

Usually AOS interviews are very quick (usually 10-20 minutes) and easy, they may ask questions like how you met, where was the wedding, etc. It all depends on the Consular Officer you get - some are more chatty or prying, some are not so concerned with details and just approve people. Go to the "Reviews" tab at the top of this page and choose your city where the interview is, you can read other's experiences at the same office. Good luck!

Bav already got married in the US last June 16, 2007, so interview should be for AOS.

Hi, Thanks for the reply. How do I get a vaccination supplement? Is there a list of civil surgeons that is available? How long does it take ?

Our interview is in 10 days! Thanks!
