Depends on whether or not one knows the English language.

Reminds me of an anecdote told to me by a highschool student I know in my wife's country. The girl was talking to a friend over lunch about the ####### and suck (pepper and something else) salad she was eating. The school's English teacher, from an English-speaking country and did not know the local language, overheard the conversation and got all bent out of shape.
