Wow, quite a few people have accused me of attacking the OP's religious beliefs and/or insinuating that's she's brainwashed, etc. Not at all true in the slightest. What I meant to say when I made that statement was that you don't have to be religious to have an opposition to pornography, and that if someone's opposition IS at all rooted in their religious beliefs, it doesn't mean he or she is brainwashed. I meant to say that Cangal has a right to feel the way she does. I was not at all attacking her; I think I made it abundantly clear that I was supporting her in my post.

Also, I don't think I said anything that would indicate that the participants in this thread are not entitled to their own opinions. I was just criticising those who were making incredibly generalised statements and stating them as fact (or at least that's how it appeared to me), or making statements that would cause any woman riddled with doubts and insecurities to feel even worse.

I also wasn't addressing any issues about women involved in the porn industry itself.
