This is an interesting one! Haven't had chance to read all 172 pages (who would...heh...) but I can certainly contribute something I suppose (now remember, I'm only on page 10 right now, many things may have changed in 162 pages *laughs*)

Here's what I reckon:

I'm not really bothered by porn, as long as it's enjoyed by both parties at the same time FOR THE MOST PART (for example, one time I wouldn't mind would be if Ben was getting a special evening ready for me, and he was ahem...expunging...for the sake of staying power later on *winks*). That applies to piccys, silly porn, slightly naughtier porn etc. Certainly would draw the line at porn involving animals, kids, gay porn (that would be weird, sinc ewe're married...heh!), porn involving melons or automobile parts being inserted..blah blah.

Now that, I'd apply to videos, and pictures. BUT when it comes to live girls on the internet....no matter which way you look at it, that's blatantly cheating. Different strokes for different folks, sure - so if you don't mind your husband cheating, then go ahead and be fine with it. But that is most definately cheating.

For example: man/woman can go on a site, pay and watch and interact with a real, live woman, and get off on it. Now that ain't simple videos, people - that's real, live person to person contact - interaction etc. He or she is sitting there, relating to the other person. Before the days of internet, where could one go to get that kind of interaction, and pay for it?

What about chatting to girls online from MySpace or Yahoo? What would the person doing that have done before the days of the good ol' net?

And it's an emotional thing. And it would affect men as badly as women, too. I know this, because a long time ago, I had to explain, in no uncertain terms, to someone very dear to me that this type of behaviour would not be continuing (unless he wanted me to leave him, and have babies with someone more responsible, and kind enough not to disresepct me and put me in danger emotionally). My reasoning for this was that if this person couldn't even handle a regular sex life (it had dwindled to once a month) in lieu of paying for women to have sex with him, how the heck was he going to handle kids, or me? Suffice it to say, he DID quit, but by that time the damage had been done, and I left him four months later. And then, he cried. But it was over.

As someone said at the beginning of the thread, porn should be easy to give up, if it's hurting someone you love.

If you stabbed your husband/wife in the leg with a fork and they said "ouch! please don't do that again!", would you do it again? Didn't hurt you, clearly - you were doing the stabbing - but if any action is hurting someone else, it's just plain rude, disrespectful and crappy to continue doing it, isn't it.
