Oh No dont take off the VISA IN HANDS it is what we all wait to see. And it is in BOLD BLACK sure looks pretty. Please just leave them on there.

i agree, before we got our visa, seeing everyone else's success really gave me hope and made me feel a lot better. :)

Congrats to Micky Sabry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They've waited a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time for this one!!!! They originally filed the K-1, waited out months and months of AP in Cairo and then got married and had to start aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall over again! Thank GOD they didn't have to go through AP for a second time!!! :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

Just updating for Ayesha's second interview. I know others had second interviews and I'll try to look for when they were but it'd save time if you all just tell me. I think it would also be interesting if you could describe who did the first interview so we can see if a certain someone did it and perhaps that is why the second was held. ;)

I know what you mean cheryl, same here with us. Ehab had two interviews, one home visit and I had one phone interview. How much information do they need? Geeze!!! :blink:

Our timeline:

September 29, 2005.......met online.

October and November 2006......was in Egypt with my sweetie.

November 1, 2006......We were married.

December 2006........I-130 filed

January 2007...........I-129 filed

April 2007................I-130 and I-129 approved

June 14, 2007.........Visa interview completed

December 2, 2007.....Home interview

February 12, 2008........Second interview

February 26, 2008....I was called by the embassy and was given a short interview over the phone and was told that my case will be moved forward and someone would contact my husband soon to send in his passport.

March 2, 2008......My husband was contacted by the embassy to send in his passport.

March 3, 2008......Passport sent by DHL.

March 4, 2008......Embassy received the passport.

March 18, 2008......VISA IN HAND!!! YEAH!!

August 15, 2008....filed I-485 adjustment of Status and I-765...Employment Authorization

October 14, 2008.....I-765...Employment Authorization approved, card received 1 month later.

January 15, 2009......Adjustment of Status interview for green card...approved!!! Received green card two weeks later.

I know what you mean cheryl, same here with us. Ehab had two interviews, one home visit and I had one phone interview. How much information do they need? Geeze!!! :blink:

Everytime I read when the embassy says "two weeks", it reminds me of that Tom Hanks movie: The Money Pit.

I don't know why they stall so much, but insha Allah you'll be with Visa In Hand soon, and don't worry, we'll find a way for it to fit. Hang in there girls.

5/12/08 case updated online/RFE received

5/27/08 checked the website for the third time today -says AP and EAD approval letter sent 5/24- it was not updated online till today - and no e-mail update either

5/27/08 emails sent in afternoon AP and EAD approvals

5/29/08 AP touch

5/29/08 email EAD card production ordered

6/02/08 AP in hand

6/03/08 email EAD card mailed

6/05/08 EAD card in hand :)

7/28/08 AOS letter received

9/02/08 AOS interview

9/10/08 card production ordered email :)

9/17/08 welcome letter email and snail mail arrive same day

9/19/08 Greencard in hand :)
