Well I am glad I called when I did.. I am so thankful for VJ and all of it's members. I told Grace at the USEM I would pass the word around. So I did :)

It sure isn't worth a delay or even a chance of delay for 16 bucks. Even if it was 100 I would still pay it.

I want my baby home so very badly

Listen to this nice piece of noose I got from doing my weekley call to the USE.. They now need a P 650 fee paid at the metro bank ASAP After paing that fee they need me to send a text to Delbro International showing I made the deposit.

This is the info she gave me:

Go to any Metro Bank and deposit php 650

Account name : Delbros International Logistics INC

Get two deposit slipps one for the bank and one to keep

after that is done you will need to send a text message in all capital letters to:

TN # 0917-5555-313

USE-MNL case number - first, last, middle name-(branch name)-(dat of deposit)-(time of deposit)-PHP650

They are recommending making the deposit at least 2 weeks in advance of the interview so that there is time to get confirmation from NSO. They state on their website that if we don't have this and they need something confirmed, we would have to pay at the embassy and it might hold the visa up for 2 weeks.

My fiancee just updated her cenomar and birth certificate directly from the NSO. These documents are have got a official seal stamp and she does have the receipt for the cenomar but not for the BC. Do we still need verification from the NSO? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Hello guys.. I'm kinda confused with this new update. The first message said that if you have an interview already you don't have to do this. We have an interview date of January 9 of next year, so do we still have to pay this amount? Why can't they just add that to the fees since it could cause some delay in case on the day of the interview they may ask for it. Let me know..thanks.

Ok I reread this topic over and over and this is what I found,

"Applicants whose visa eligibility is dependent upon their marital status (i.e. K-1, K-3, CR-1, IR-1, F-1 and F2-B categories) will normally need to have their documents verified through the National Statistics Office (NSO) before the U.S. Embassy in Manila can issue the visa. Those with a delayed birth or death certificate or only local civil registrar copies of such documents may need to have their documents verified. "

Read the bold statement, and it clearly states, those with a delayed birth or death certificate or only local civil regstristar copies of such documents may need their documents verified. So Im thinking, if NSO already has your birth certificate and is on file, I dont think we need to pay the extra P650 that Delbros is asking for... Someone pls confirm if this is my understanding on this.

Thanks.

I deposited 650 at metrobank today plus 50 pesos service charge because the account is in manila and the bank is in dagupan city, pangasinan. I sent 3 text messages to delbros to make sure they got it and i got 2 replies from them :P

My BC is late registered so i paid delbros and those who are not, in my opinion I think you should do the same. There were cases way back where people had been put on AR because they wanted to verify if the beneficiary is really single even if she brought her NSO BC and CENOMAR with them during the interview. It seems they make their own background checks with the NSO. Just don't give the consul a reason to delay your visa. You will sleep better knowing that you have covered everything.

I am finding it is important to put a comma (,) after the last name also to I have the extension to get Delbros direct rather then there no one knows anything call center. The first text We sent came back with no last name and they are saying it is because there is no coma after the last name on the text. How dumb is that. If they are suppose to verify documentation how smart do you need to be to hold things up by a comma. Grace at the usem said this is a new process and they are working out the kinks. I will let everyone know what there message says from the new text we sent with a comma and will adv the extension tonight.

God bless

Tim

You have the meaning to the one sentence correct, but the one sentence does not make a story. For reading comprehension you must analyze the entire article. The sentence before says marital status visas will normally need to have their documents verified. What USEM determines is normal we do not know, but I read normally as normal, or most, visas will need to be verified. So 100%of all visas will not need their documents verified.

In the next paragraph it reads,"strongly encourages applicants" to pay before the interview and, "If you are unable to pay for the document verification before your immigrant visa interview, you may be asked to pay the fee on the day of your interview. Please note that if you pay on the day of your interview, there will be a delay of one to two weeks in the processing of your application." My interpretation is The USEM advises you pay for verification before the interview or most likely you will be put on AR.

Therefore, the announcement is worded so that all marriage related visas do not need verification, but if you do not pay for verification USEM reserves the right to refuse the visa until the fee is payed and verification is completed. So if you want to take a chance it is up to you whether to pay before the interview or not. As I posted earlier, the bigger question is if trying to save $16 dollars is worth taking a chance on delaying the visa?" :reading::hehe:

Heck no. After all we went through thus far and the time apart, there is no way $16 is going to even justify one extra day of waiting, let alone weeks.

yes.. but my question is, does everybody needs to pay that? even my documents are not late registered?

It looks to me as if the fee is 650 PHP per person.

In order to avoid unnecessary delay in the visa issuance process, the U.S. Embassy in Manila strongly encourages applicants in the categories mentioned above to pay the document verification fee prior to their immigrant visa interview. Payment can be made through any Metrobank location. The cost of the document verification is P650 per applicant. For specific instructions on how to pay the document verification fee, please click here. If you are unable to pay for the document verification before your immigrant visa interview, you may be asked to pay the fee on the day of your interview. Please note that if you pay on the day of your interview, there will be a delay of one to two weeks in the processing of your application.

so, does this mean the certified documents from the nso that the USEM requires from the applicants doesn't really account to anything since delbros still has to verify them with the NSO? that sucks big time! i just hope it doesn't significantly affect visa issuance time. delbros should make special arrangement with nso to give them priority!
