My fiancee needs to request her police records from both Brasilia and Rio. She spoke with the Rio police department today, and they informed her that when she orders her police records, IF she shows them proof of her interview with the consulate, they can produce the records for her in 24 hours.

Does this seem corrrect?? Has anyone else heard of only 24 hours?? I have heard 10 days, or longer, depending on the city. This seems too good to be true.

She lives in Brasilia now, so we were planning on getting to Rio 4-5 days before the interview to order the police certificate, if this is accurate.. If she received bad info and it is 10 days for a certificate, then our interview date would have to be cancelled....

thanks in advance for the help.
