I've never been to a holiday party where spouses were invited.

i don't go to parties without the wifey. i won't even go to the local hooters with the rest of the people at work because she's not with me.

I work in a small company. We will have our Christmas party next Friday .. spouses and children invited. It will be held in the office, lots of good food and non-alcoholic drinks. There might be a couple of bottles of wine for adults who'd like a bit of alcohol. We will have games for the kids (and some for the adults too), Secret Santa and handing out the Christmas bonuses.

Interesting. I go without her all the time, she's way too busy with school.

It's called independence.

PS: Those who don't go to parties obviously either don't care about promos or assume that an appearance is not needed. I've never worked a place where you could duck out, get away with it & not look bad.

My Christmas party is Saturday night at a Convention Center. There will be about 500 or more people there. This year they are not serving alcohol. I guess too many people got smashed at last years. They put on a really nice buffet and give away tons of great gifts. Most people are decked out in party dresses or long evening gowns. Not sure if were going or not. Its 45 minutes from where we live so we will decide tomorrow.
