It also said in one area that it's 'up to 3%'

I wonder if this means I will get back 3%? Here is a sample of the fees from one transaction.

OLONGAPO/OLONGAP OLONGAPO 600000xxxx 207.05-

Serial No. 7468826633600000xxxx

Tran Amt: $201.02 2% Currency Exchange Fee: $4.02

1% Int'l Transaction Fee: $2.01

If it is 3% then I am in for a very nice refund. Can you say vacation next year!!!

well, now that I was reminded of it I just went to the website and filled it out - pretty straightforward. You just have to remember what you spent abroad. Since I never through away a bank or cc statement this wasn't a problem for me.

Uh oh.

I know - and this proves I was right to do so. Stay away from my files with that shredder!

and pray you never get robbed!

I just got something in the mail last night from the US District Court informing me that I am eligible for damages as part of a class action lawsuit against the cc companies. ....

ME TOO!!

Nice check coming my way

IK HOU VAN JOU, MARK

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

I got it. I shredded it.

Got it too. Besides Canada, I have only gone to the UK once during that time period. Like Robin I haven't shredded my old statements so I probably still have all the info from that trip. But I need to decide if it's worth the hassle to dig through all the rest of the ####### to find it since at 1-3% it probably won't be more than $25 anyway.

And in Canada we always use D's RBC card. :crying:

I shredded it because I didn't want to go through a lot of effort to find receipts and get a $50 check in the mail. That would piss me off.

Hubster and I both got it....I was going to use option #2 since that only asks for number of days spent out of the country and for option #3, I'd need all the CC statements. I could probably locate it, but I'd be happy with anything. It's money I don't have now.

then just do Option 1 for the $25 or look at your passport to figure out number of days out of country for Option 2 for maybe a bigger check. Honestly, I can't see either of those taking more than 10 minutes. The form is diddly squat to fill out.
