Len and Bren, so why did you respond like that for? I don't understand why people who get approved always have to be so rude? I would think you guys are happy that you got past this part.. My Priority date is 4/16/2007... so that is almost 8 months without any touches / approval.. even you got approved within the 6-month timeline.. so why the attitude? I'm just stating my frustration here on my situation.. I thinnk that we are in the same situation waiting to be with our loved ones.. You have as much right as I do in getting your loved one here.. You had a good journey, so you should be happy.. especially when that person is already with you.. You should be going out and enjoying time with each other.. so what would your SO say if he/she knew about this? Like I said before, I am in a bad situation now... =( Please stop attacking / being rude to people who are still waiting for approval.. I respond like that because this thread has degenerated into personal attacks from you to others and vice versa, and that my dear friend, is lame and stupid behaviour; wherever it comes from. And do not give me the "well you've been approved so you don't care about others and you are rude" discourse, because people in this forum know me for being supportive of others, and for having quite the good manners.

Please stop attacking / being rude to people who are still waiting for approval.. Even with just an approval, I am willing to wait another 6 months.. but nothing has come so far.. My wife and I are really sad now.. These security checks and the transfer to a local office has me scared.. We are not as confident as we once were (thinking we could have finished the whole thing in about 8 months time).. I had sent all my information (copy of I-130/I129F) and other information (receipts, pictures, Skype history, phone bills, pay stubs) to her already thinking the interview was going to be there.. but a "local transfer" means I probably will have a first "bonafide" interview here.. I will have to prove that my relationship is for real in an interview at the local office..

I'm not trying to throw "######" around.. I just wanted others to know my experience and that I may help others.. but people started attacking me when I already feel bad.. People say "not all the posts are about your case, drama queen".. look, I just want to find a place I can post my frustration.. just like all of you.. I guess I'm still not welcome here.. This is more of a "defense", than an "attack".. how would you feel if you didn't get anything yet for over 8 months? well, I thought people would be nicer in the world.. guess I'll try to solve my problem on my own then..

Then I apologize for my statements, Len and Bren.. I thought you were like the others who attacked me.. I just feel terrible about my situation now.. that is all.. and I posted what I did (sent emails to government people).. that is all I did before all this.. I just needed some advice from others on my situation..

Your timeline shows you barely waited 3 months time from the time you applied, so you don't know the frustration of having to wait..

Who are you to gauge what Jen has been through? Many others have waited longer than you, and they don't parade around assuming that they deserve compassion from everybody. I was just trying to help someone called "pechez" with his/her problem.. i told him I emailed my congressmen, and other people and provided an email address.. then other people say I am just talking about my case all the time and calling me "drama queen"..

I think we should just all calm down and be here to support our fellow VJers. Everybodys case is different and we all handle things differently, it doesn't mean one is right and the other is wrong, we should respect others and be here for them and to listen to them when they are stressing or venting about this crazy visa process. fine, I will stop.. as long as they stop too.. you see the first couple of posts.. "little white guy" wasn't even me, and they started attacking him , so I had to step in.. some people on this board are very rude.. I stop my attacks and name calling, and I would please like others to do so too.. This journey has been rough for all of us (including me).. I'm sorry to hear that.. but I just admit my case was a bit more rough (and still going) than some of yours.. Just be considerate for other people's feelings.. we all went through this, and the only result is want to be with our loved ones soon.. I am just frustrated because my case got "transferred to a local office" and I found some information online about why... I know the following case is for I-485 (Naturalizaton), but the "local transfer" info is the same.. I have other articles to prove it too..

A: The NSC does not summarily relocate EB485 cases as indicated in the above scenario. The NSC generally relocates EB485 cases on a case-by-case basis applying the national EB485 SOP standards. Some of the case considerations outlined in the national SOP are:

* A need for validation of identity;

* A need for validation of legal status;

* Questionable admissibility and /or qualifications;

* Apparent fraud;

* A second filing;

* An applicant with fingerprint results rejected twice;

You percieved it as an attack, I didn't.

You were called a drama queen because you created a teary-eyed goodbye thread.

I think you blew this way out of proportion. Just relax, and if there is someone's opinion that you don't like, happiness is an "ignore" click away.

We are losing much confidence.. Another article posted that these "security checks" take 1 to multiple years.. the thing is I have other security checks to look forward to (these are not the AP - Administrative Checks at the Consulate).. these are still "security checks" done at USCIS... then at NVC... then at Consulate.. so I don't really want to fight anymore with anyone.. I call a "pact"... no more insults from me, and no more insults from you.. right now, there are more urgent matters to deal with..

has anyone experienced this "local office" transfer? usually it is done with I-485 (Naturalization) cases...

I found some more info, but still doesn't answer why specifically...

I tried finding the Local Field Office number, but couldn't.. and the USCIS people aren't really helpful either..

Cases transferred to a local USCIS office usually mean interview. Strange to get the primary approved, but the derivative transferred and interviewed though. It could mean something didn't seem right in the application, anything from medicals to gaps in status, but it's weird that they didn't issue an RFE instead, especially in light of approving the primary. If you are using a lawyer, you might want to get their advice. Did you get married recently (i.e., within 6 months prior to filing 485? Did you file separately or on the same date?... those are some of the things that can trigger investigation from other posts I've seen here on the forum).

There are some types of cases that will almost always be scheduled for interviews.
