Hello everyone,

Yesterday my husband and I had our AOS interview at the Milwaukee office. They separated us and questioned us independently. I was questioned second and at the end of the interview the interviewer said" You will be hearing from us" and this was all she said.

We were wandering what that meant. Did it mean that our interview went bad (we had been together for almost four years now and married for 2.5 years) or it simply meant that they will notify us in some time? Did anyone else had a similar experience? Of course I am very worried about the whole thing and whether we got approved or not.

Please, share any toughts you may have on this with us.

I guess you kind of have to sit patiently and wait it out to see what you get in the mail. I think some officers may be new, and have to have the cases reviewed by their superiors and that's why they can't say "approved" on the spot. As long as you had all the proof of living together, and the information in the separate interviews matched, you should be fine.

Also, Stokes interviews are usually given 2nd time around. I've read a couple times here on VJ where now there were on try #1. Just curious, was this your first interview?

Yes, this was our very first interview and I guess there were some minor inconsistencies (which couple can give the exact same answers?) but they were mostly due to the questions being asked differently.

The puzzling part to me was, that the interviewer did not even ask to see any proof of the relationship and she did not care to examine any of the documents we had brought with us ( a big file of supporting papers and pictures)

I know the Tampa office was giving first interviews separately or together - either/or so you didn't know what you were going to get, I guess. (These were people we had biometrics the same day as, and it was only 2 weeks after biometrics, only reason I know it was their first interview). Some offices may just choose to do it that way, I guess.

Wee we don't have much of a choice but to wait and see what is going to happen. I read somewhere that ususally takes about two weeks to get some kind of reply regarding the interview. Anyone elses experience?

We were approved at our interview, but I've seen people getting approved the next day or day after, or waiting a few weeks.
