I was just curious how long the wait will be for the interview after Vancouver Consulate receives the packet from the NVC.

All you need is a modest house in a modest neighborhood

In a modest town where honest people dwell

--July 22---------Sent I-129F packet

--July 27---------Petition received

--August 28------NOA1 issued

--August 31------Arrived in Terrace after lots of flight delays to spend Lindsay's birthday with her

--October 10-----Completed address change online

--January 25-----NOA2 received via USCIS Case Status Online

Back in June or July, once you had your Packet 3 faxed back to the consulate the wait was roughly a month or so. I don't think it's changed much since then.

Nini - Vancouver BC, Canada (she's the one who does the forum thing)

Bee - Devon PA, USA (he's the one who gave her the shiny ring)

My wait was 9 days. It could have been 8- they gave me a choice of 2 dates.

I was expecting a month- which I would have been fine with actually.

9 days was a bit of a rush for us, Mel had to send me all the paperwork, I had to get my medical and wait for the results. Luckily everything came together perfectly and I had everything I needed for the Interview.

I asked Santa for my interview to be scheduled before the new year...but I have a feeling that all I am gonna get is a big fat lump of coal :(

You won't be getting coal this year. Due to increased energy demand and pressure to move away from coal, a dirty power source, Santa has replaced coal with a 2 week old lump of dog ####### as the typical gift for naughty folks.

Fortunately, if you get too cold, dog ####### does make for decent heating fuel.

I cheated and contacted the Department of State. They told me when my packet 3 was sent (took 2 1/2 weeks to receive), when I returned the packet 3, I requested my interview date before Dec 21st. Knowing our 'fantastic' mail system is slow, I called the Department of State again, and they shared my interview date with me. So my wait too 2 1/2 weeks.

We have been waiting for packet 4 from Vancouver since last week. So when I read this thread about calling the NVC, I immediately dialed them. It worked!! Our interview is scheduled for December 19th :dance::dance::dance:

I (the petitioner) called the NVC at 202-663-1225, option 4 (I think - it's the one about the fiance visa) and then you press 0, it doesn't tell you, but that's the option to speak to an operator. The wait was only a minute and after giving her our NVC Case number, my fiance's name and DOB, I just explained to her that we had faxed the checklist back last week and could she tell me the status of our case? She gave me the interview date immediately, no run-around at all. It has been a good day :thumbs::thumbs:

04/26/07: I-129f Paperwork sent to TSC - later transferred to CSC

05/03/07: Packet Received by CSC

05/08/07: NOA1

05/10/07: Touched

09/21/07: NOA2

09/24/07: Received NOA2 email yay!

09/26/07: Received NOA2 via USPS
