hi everyone. you are not going to believe this.

it's late so I won't be too detailed.

I called the consulate on Nov 14th, 7 -8 weeks after I-130 was submitted in rome on sept 21 -- asked where is my packet?

They said packet 3 was already sent.

never received it .

so they emailed it right away.

I faxed part 10 days later-- November 24

I called 10 days later december 4th to see if they got it and asked what do I do now?

She said call the pay per minute line 39 899 34 34 32 to set an appointment!!

no lines, no waiting. I was offered an appointment on the 11th of December!!!

I am amazed, now I need a place for us to stay-- any suggestions?

Thanks.

When we went, we decided to make the trip down to Naples (also from Rome) into a little getaway so we stayed at Hotel Paradiso www.hotelparadisonapoli.it which offers a fabulous view of the gulf and is convenient to the Consulate by car. Not quite sure what your budget is but we really enjoyed our stay there. Otherwise check out the link...
