Hi everybody,

I submitted my AOS request along with EAD and AP on begining of Oct, I've received approvement of EAD and AP already but when I check my status online, the following message shows:

On November 29, 2007, we transferred this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you.

I haven't received any notice yet, but can anybody tell me why is this case transferred to CSC? Is it normal or does it mean any problem?

Thanks a lot!

It is fairly common. It means your AOS case was transferred from your local office to California...and...more than likely will result in NO INTERVIEW.. woo hoo..

(Disclaimer - on rare occasions, cases are sent back to the local office so an interview can take place, but that is somewhat rare...)

This is a common thing for a few years now, NBC determins that case is a simple one and sends it to CSC for adjudication, results is most are approved without interview, but some are decided that an interview is needed, and CSC will send to your local office.

VJ Timelines now have a selector for AOS transfer.

Just keep your fingers crossed that your case is a simple one and won't need an interview. Otherwise, CSC will send it back to NBC...
