Hello K and L..

I was reading the USCIS site and as far as I understood one can only open an account if its for the petitioner or applicant..not the beneficiary..

But thanks anyway for yr help..

Eu fiquei no "Aeroporto Othon Hotel".

Eu nao conheco o Rio e preferi nao arriscar enfrentar transito.

.............................

I stayed at the "Aeroporto Othon Hotel". It is close to both the airport and the consulate. I spent with a cab only when I arrived in Rio, since I didn't know it was that much close to the hotel. In the morning I walked to the consulate, and from the consulate once my interview was done, I walked back straight to the airport (yeah I do like to walk...). Their website with phone numbers: http://www.hoteis-othon.com.br/us/home/home.aspx

The hotel is on an old style building, the elevator is a bit scary, but everything was in order. Cable TV, little fridge, AC, and dinner only served in the bedroom, breakfast at the restaurant downstairs..

Suggestion: use google maps to check other nearby hotels, it is how I found this one. I don't know Rio, so I prefered not to risk getting on traffic.
