I am from Alabama and the senators are Congressman Terry Everett and Senator Jeff Sessions. I have been to Everetts office at least 8 times and they said they have done all they can do....since all they can do is inquire and request but that it is up to the service centers what they decide to do. The story on our application is that we sent the first to Texas and they sent it to CSC. WE didn't hear anything and called in July to inquire about the application and our lawyer was told they could not find it and to send in another application. We did this. WE resent to the Texas center and they forwarded it to Vermont. Three weeks later the first application was found in California. The lawyer said not to cancel the one in Vermont because they may cancel both...it was to risky. In Oct. when our file was handled to be processed they must have punched in the A# and saw that we have another file in Vermont. What would any normal person have done? Called and seen that it was a duplicate application...which it stated in the cover sheet. Instead California sent the original to Vermont to join the other application. The email we received stated.."your application is moved to Vermont because it is your jurisdiction service center. Then why in blazes did THEY send the first one to California!!!!!!!!! WEll it took till Nov. 1 for it to get to Vermont and 2 more weeks for us to know that it got there, and then the congressmans office called and their person of contact told them that they were told they were going to process our application by the date on the DUPLICATE APPLICATION...the one sent the end of July with the NOA1 in August. SO. AS OF TODAY, we have been waiting71/2 months and we must wait now another possible 2 1/2 months.

All of this is due to ineptness....they sent one to the wrong service center....told us they lost it...told us to refile...and then punish us for doing what they said....GO FIGUIRE....

I plan to call tomorrow because we are 60 days past our last corrispondence from the USCIS and we are ALLOWED TO CALL

and ask for an inquiry. There is the whole story.....

May 5-sent I129f to Texas and they forwarded to CSC

May 11-priority date according to NOA1 on Hard Copy

May 14-received by CSC...notice sent (never received)

May 15-money order cashed

July 19-called about Hard copy..said they would resend

July 23-lawyer calls and is told application is lost and to resend application

July 25-sent a duplicate application to Texas and it is forwarded to VSC

July 27-called again...said they would resend from CSC

July 31/aug.3/aug.6 "touches"

Aug. 16 received the NOA1 from VSC for duplicate application

Aug. 16-called about Hard Copy...said that they would resend (3rd time) from CSC

Aug. 17-"touch"

Aug. 19-FINALLY RECEIVED THE NOA1 HARD COPY for original application from CSC

October-19-CRIS sent message that they were moving our application to VSC?!?!?

(seems USCIS sent our first application to the wrong center)

November-16 origianl is at the VSC

Dec. 3-congressmans office calls VSC...will be processed by July application date

Feb. 6-APPROVED!!!!

Feb. 7 sent to NVC

Feb. 13 sent to MONTREAL...WRONG EMBASSY!!!!!!! SUPPOSED TO BE VANCOUVER!!!!!!!

Feb. 14 arrived in MONTREAL

Feb. 20 talked to NVC center....supervisor will try to "catch" the application call back in 10-15 days

Feb. 29...talked to the State Department (Visa)...they had NVC send cable today to Montreal instructing them to send packet to VanCouver

March 4...K visa application received at VanCouver

March 6 packet 3 ARRIVED

March 10 packet 3 checklist and DS230 faxed back

March 12 medical exam

March 20 packet 4 received

April 8....interview date

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

well the bright side to this is they are processing late July and August now.....You may be processed in the next couple of weeks.......Really this is a case for the omsbudsman

You can go to the DHS website download the form and overnight directly to him......and have him explain this mess to you..........I am thinking it is the very best thing at this point........Charlene Wow I am so very sorry this mess has happened to you.........It is absolute the worst mixup I have heard of........Just what you wrote above send to the ombudsman......Do it tonight.........I have no idea how you are this strong because I am about to loose my mind at 200 days........I hope the very best for you.......If I do end up testifying at Congress I think this story needs to come out.......Insane
