Hi Guys,

I 've noticed that most of petitions of the end of the February were

approved and most of petitions of the beginning of the Feb.(1-8) besides

ours have not approved yet. What it might depends from in your

opinion?

I have been thinking from some time that I think it depends what country the beneficiary is from, just my opinion.

i thought that at first too. but there are people from all kinds of country that got approved. i thought ours was going to take longer cause my fiance (the USC) is originally from Iran. but then we know of minimum 3 security checks they ran on him before we started anything. he thinks the informations was so clear from previous checks that it made things go faster....

i on the other hand think they might just have the boxes a bit out of order. (like start stacking from left to right in a row, but then taking them from right to left). i find it hard to believe that they deal with soo many files and would spend time on triage countrybased...

but i too noticed there were a lot of mid-feb filers with crazy timelines like ours, while beginning-feb where still pending, and end took just a bit longer...

Hi guys... the adutication process has nothing to do with the country the beneficiary is from (unless it's cuba). As Sal and Jay stated, we here at VJ are only a small percentage of the total number of filers which may be why things seem as they go a certain way more than another.

It has everthing to do with which adjuticator picked the box with your file in it.

Another weird government srew up story, but at least it has a happy ending:

My fiancee' has an interview april 22. I made it under the embassy's new call in scheduling system. They asked if I wanted to confirm, I said yes and they gave me a confirmation number and later sent my fiancee' an email with the date and confirmation number.

Then I got a letter from the embassy a couple weeks later stating she is eligible for an interview appointment. I shrugged it off as an oversight. Today the day she is ready to leave I get another letter stating call to schedule an interview. Uh-oh. So I go on their website to check on her interview date and it shows no record. Uh-oh. This is like 4 hours before her trip, tickets bought, reservations made, bags packed. So I call the embassy when they open, 2 hours to go ... they tell me they have no record of her appointment either and that I should call back to the scheduling number! UH-OH. But, I say, I have a confirmation number, which the USE emailed to her. I have no way to check on that sir, she says.

She can tell I am ready to lose my mind, so she puts me on hold to 'check'. She then tells me some people were told to call back to confirm, maybe that's you? Nope, confirmation number here, remember? Gave her date, exact time. Oh, hmm, well, ok, I'll make a note in the system, tell her it's ok to go to the interview. WHEW!! Close one!

Everybody wonders what the deal is with some petitions getting an easy ride and others tough sledding. My new theory is they pick some to screw up and then they just keep screwing them up at every possible step of the way. It seems to happen to many who have had long waits,etc. Makes as much sense as any other reason
