I'm washing everything. All the clothing is being cleaned. Even everything in the closet, in an effort to make space for Sasha's clothes. Lora, I've got you beat. I've thrown away 8 large garbage bags full of old stuff, two sofas, 2 bags of old clothes, a broken typewriter, old camping gear. I've moved a large fish tank, recaulked the bathtub, cleaned behind the fridge, cleaned the carpet, ceiling fans, cut my hair, washed my Big Willie....(oh, I should mention that's our black Labrador's name). :D

......And I'm only half way done!

Still need to do all the dusting, clean the stairway, clean out my Explorer, scrub the toilet (fun), clean the oven, microwave, stock the fridge, clean the bedroom....Damn! Where has all the time gone?? And I'm working my job everyday through Sunday. I may not be able to finish, but I'll do my best. And I'm even cleaning in between posts.

Zee, I'm so sorry...but pray that you will be reunited in August as planned. I certainly wouldn't wish a delay or denial or anything like that on anyone, especially you!!!!

AND

Virgil, congratulations on the scheduled interview--->I'm sure you are having your fiance practice, practice, practice ALL the posted interview questions on this site and commit the answers to memory, right? :star:

AND

Jason, congratulations on the impending arrival of your fiance!!!

AND

All the best to everyone else I might have missed.

Hi Wendy! Thanks alot. We're tickled like 2 children before Christmas. Haven't see you in a while. And reading your signature timeline is a little confusing to me. I'm not sure where exactly you are in your process. But I hope you're doing well and maintaining your optimism. You sure do get mentioned alot on these forums though. You're like our local VJ celebrity. B)

(time to run off and investigate your current status...)

KimandRuss....I'm just watching the clock :clock:

Well.....my timeline confuses me too!!! Basically, I had to put the events on my signature....because we are in 'review status' and there aren't a lot of options for that in the timeline format we are given. Basically, we are still waiting for our first petition to be reaffirmed. The 'official' timeline reflects our 2nd petition.....which I filed in case the first was either refused or expired....USCIS in Vermont and California have different procedures for petitions returned/refused by the embassies. Hope that makes things a little more clear.

OMG-->more talking about me here? I can only imagine.......still, it's nice to be considered a bit of a celebrity...although I wish my 15 minutes of fame would be over already. Anyway, I'm hanging in there...back in the states because it just got a bit scary over there in Albania....it's a long story, but it's amazing how foreign countries view Americans.....many think we are all filthy rich and that can invite unwanted attention. There is a lot of corruption in some of these countries and really, the police can't protect you....particularly if THEY are corrupt also. Besides, I am broke and I need a job if I do want to get my fiance over here. I had planned to make a life there, but I'd have to sell everything and after I realized it wasn't going to be a safe place for me, I really had no option but to return home....and that was REALLY hard for me because you KNOW i'm a fighter :bonk: , but common sense FINALLY won over.

So, here I am. :)

Congratulations again.

FYI-Maybe you all already know but Gonzales resigned from USCIS and....

unfortunately so did the Ombudsman (leave DHS)

I'm happy about the first, but not the second. The Ombudsman really worked hard to try and effect change at USCIS, but after July 2007, USCIS just stopped responding to his recommendations......heck, I'd resign too. What's the point....like rolling a boulder up a hill, only to watch it keep falling down.

I am back guys, hello everyone! I know it has been a long time but now i am back and very happy to read about all the good news.

Virgil, Carlene and Lora finally have great news, i am so happy for you guys i was hoping to read this news. I just go internet yesterday and i had to come and check on my VJ-Family.

As some of you know, i entered the US on march 3rd my POE was JFK and i had 1hour time to catch my connecting flight. When i got there i had to wait for about 15 min and then they took my fingerprint and the officer sent me to that office to get my work stamp for 90 days. I went in there and waited for 5 min and got

my passport with the stamp back, then i picked up my baggage and went on the next flight, everything took me about 35 min. I was so happy that finally something went smooth and Mel came to pick us up with roses, he gave my daughter white ones and i had red ones very sweet of him. We had to get married earlier than planed because his job is sending him on a trip sometime next week, so we got married on march 14th. It was just us and my little girl but it was very nice, tomorrow we are going to pick up the pictures, i cant wait to see them. After the wedding we went to the SSN office to apply for the SSN number, we also had the marriage cert with us but they didnt want to put my new name on it. They said they will make it in my maiden name and i should come back later to get it changed. My daughter couldnt get a SSN because she doesnt have a work authorization. They told us to file the Forms either I-766 or I-688B but we couldnt get those forms from no where. We tried to make an infopass to go to local office but it is saying on their website that there is no appointment in order to get forms. Now i am confused, i dont know how to get my little girl a SSN. Maybe one of you guys knows what i have to do or what i can do.

However its good to be back and i am very happy for all the approvals, medicals and interviews that are coming up.

Zee, i am so sorry to hear about your case you have the best attitude someone can have in such a situation. God will see you through, you are great!

God bless you all and greetings from Norfok-VA my new home
