Trinner... just trying to send you and yours a little more luck for today! ;)

Thanks... from your lips to VSC's ears. Unfortunately, I'm afraid they have their headphones on. ;)

I admit, it is hard to keep a smile. We are starting our 4th waiting month now. (And longer since we've been together.) I know so many people had to wait several months longer (or have huge complications like Lora and Charlene), but that just makes me hurt for them, not feel better about our case. I foolishly got my hopes up (and my fiancee's) when we got that touch, but it was more than a week ago now. It is killing me to watch my plans evaporate, and more than a little difficult for me to try to keep us both encouraged.

But I know, it could be much, much worse. Ok, whine over.

There have been sooo many approvals from VSC lately - and trust me - I'm HAPPY to see them. (CONGRATS ALL!) I only hope this means they have turned a corner and can stop the maddening purgatory of blind waiting for an NOA2 for future applicants. (For example, I run my little Waiting List program every day, and for the last few weeks the average approvals in the last 30 days has been consistently around 90, +/- 3 or so. For the last few days it has been consistently 100, +/- 4. This just means that there have been consistently a few more approvals every day. We'll see if it continues...)

So VSC - did I mention how nice you look today??

10/31/07 - Mailed I-129F to Vermont Service Center

11/01/07 - I-129F received at VSC

11/02/07 - NOA1 dated

02/17/08 - TOUCH! OMG OMG OMG PLZ PLZ PLZ

02/29/08 - NOA2! Really. Finally. can't...believe...

03/10/08 - NVC received

03/12/08 - NVC shipped to Embassy

03/14/08 - Embassy received petition

03/20/08 - Received Packet 3

04/01/08 - Faxed back Packet 3 checklist to embassy

04/11/08 - Received Packet 4

05/09/08 - Interview at Embassy

05/14/08 - Received Visa and passport visa DHL - WOW!

05/18/08 - Entered USA at Dallas

07/19/08 - Married the love of my life...

04/30/09 - Mailed AOS Paperwork. Finally!

05/26/09 - AOS RFE. :(

Well when I first started coming here last year it was taking a good 6-8 months for NOA2's...and those were the lucky ones! Now i'm seeing tons of people from VSC getting them in under a month which gives us MUCH hope since we can't even file until April. Yet, there are still those of you waiting all these months. I don't get it. No rhyme or reason it seems. I understand your averages based on the timelines here but there certainly seems to be very little consistency.

We were planning a trip for me to NZ in June assuming the process was going to take at least the summer but now we just dont know what to do.

I'm sure your time is coming very soon. :)

I am one of those fast NOA2's...and I completely agree about the processing times...I am happy about it, of course, but it doesn't seem fair that some people have been waiting 10 times as long for the same thing...

USCIS, GET IT TOGETHER!!! GIVE THESE PEOPLE WHAT THEY NEED!!!
