Canada post - is the tracking up to date?

We sent our app to Mississauga from London, Xpress Post on the 12th. The tracking stopped on the 15th on the website and still shows it's sitting in a sortation place.

Obviously being from the US I don't have much experience with canada post... is that normal? 6 days to go from London to Mississauga? I was thinking xpress post would mean it would be there in a few days.

i probably has to do with the fact that canada post gets both good friday & easter monday off. so they'll probably update it today.

If I remember correctly (used to work at a postal outlet), Xpresspost is a 2-3 business day service. Key phrase being "business day". Assuming it actually LEFT the postal outlet/mailbox on the 12th (that depends on the time of day you mailed it) then I imagine it will be delivered today or possibly tomorrow. As previously stated, Canada Post has both Good Friday and Easter Monday off, so those won't be considered business days.

Edited to add: I just saw your signature says "next day"... I guess my memory isn't as good as I thought Either that, or I'm just getting mixed up with Xpresspost USA, which is what I used recently to send stuff from here in Canada to my fiance in the US.

I believe its because they were on holiday from Friday through Monday. I am waiting for an express package from my fiance and we were told that it will be delayed because of the holidays.

Canada Post is extremely slow. I sent a package of information form Saskatchewan to NVC. I tracked it online and it took 8 days to get to Mississauga. It was finally delivered to NVC after 27 days. I was steamed!

Now see, I had great experiences with Canada Post and its expresspost service, as well as the service sending boxes from Nova Scotia to Oklahoma, so I can't complain. Methinks you got caught in the Easter weekend holiday. Sorry.

I agree! I sent RFE documents on the 13th for next day delivery purlator ($30) and it isn't there yet. they said because they are closed for the easter friday/monday. I sent something off for xpresspost ($18) a while back and it made it there in the same amount of time as normal post which is like $2. i dont know how much stamp is. So.. waste of money.

OK, I guess I forget about holidays when there are no hidden eggs and chocolate bunny. I plumb didn't even remember to discount those days.

AND I can't claim I know whether xpresspost IS actually next day, my honey told me he sent it next day, but he may not have known how fast it goes....

Ok... I will be patient. it's funny when it comes to this immigration stuff, how every flipping second extra is just TOO LOOOONG to wait.

I sent something from Langley BC to Edmonton Alberta Expresspost on April 8, 2006. I jsut checked online 5 minutes ago it still says its in sorting centre in Mississauga Ontario ... SO something is broke in the system ...

I am still confused on why it ended up in Ontario in the first place Last I checked Alberta is next to British Columbia
