EAD processing times??

Hi All,

We mailed our AOS application (I130, I485, I765 with all the mountains of evidence) to Chicago at the end of July to beat the fee increase and it was received there on July 31st. Our NOAs for all of theem are dated September 5th, and biometrics for I485 and I765 was on September 25th.

Now here is the problem. Since then we haven't heard anything from USCIS and when we check the case status online the last date is SEptember 5th. We've called the 1800 number twice and they keep saying give them more time. We went online to try and make an infopass appointment but it seems that they are not available here (we live in Las Vegas).

Should the EAD take this long?? And any advice as to what I can do, if anything.

Thanks for any response.

My EAD took 4.5 months. I filed end of June and just got mine 3 weeks ago. You filed a month after when EVERYONE else was filing too. I wouldn't be too shocked if you didn't get EAD until end of Dec/start of January

Again the inconsistency of the USCIS... There are others who filed in the end of July were approved on October....

YMMV

Brad, wasn't your EAD held up because of RFE?

My EAD only took 6 weeks, so you'll never know, but I guess it's just because where I live there are not many immigrantions, so it really depends.
