yes, i've done research in the forum :P just want to make sure i cover all the bases.

nessa has ap, which is good until march 08,and we are still awaiting her green card from csc. just to make sure i have all this right: when we leave the country we need her ap paperwork with us so she can get back in, along with her passport. anything else?

specific questions i have are:

- we have 2 copies of the ap. are we supposed to take both or just one?

- her passport is in her maiden name. is the passport in her maiden name a major issue or is this just a plane ticket booking issue? i've seen several threads about taking the marriage license too. is that correct?

- what happens with her i-94 that is currently in her passport when she arrived in the usa in oct 06? is that supposed to be surrendered when she leaves or what? will she get a new i-94 upon reentry?

- will other forms of id be helpful, like military dependant id card and kansas driver's license?

- anything i've left out?

Good question, I too am interested in the answers.

I travel to and from Brasil on a regular basis for business and once Nice gets to the U.S. I will be wanting to take her with me each time I return to Brasil for her to visit her family.

Regular basis is 1 week every six weeks.

Want to make sure we have all her papers in order as quickly as possible.

1) You take both copies of the AP, the officer at POE may keep one upon re-entry

2) Book airline ticket using name that is in passport, airline officials use passport as ID, and if names don't match they won't let board the plane. And yes it is a good thing to carry a copy of marriage cert to show name change if any questions come up.

3) Yes you surrender the I-94 because you are departing the USA, you will be issued a new I-94 upon re-entry.

4) The passport is the ID used for international travel, other forms are useful for domestic travel.

5) Have a safe trip.

I never had the I-94 removed from my passport until I re-entered the US, so don't worry if they don't take it when you depart.
