There might be a delay with the USCIS getting information into their online system.

There is definitely a delay. I know there is a phone delay for a fact. I called in after I had been approved, after the NVC, and after it had been sent to the Embassy and their system still didn't have me. As long as you have that paper notice everything is fine, they have your information. Good luck!

another thing that you might consider is the MSC #

The case number on the back of my checks (for my wife and step daughter) were different from the ones on the NOA-1 .. the ones on the NOA-1 was the one that finally showed up online.
