Approval but no hardcopy?

The USCIS says our application was approved on Nov. 19th, but so far I haven't received any sort of e-mail notice, or more importantly the hardcopy.

Is this unusual? I know quite a few other folks were approved on the same day, so have you all received your hardcopy? I tried calling up the Visa Center today to see if my case had been received, but they didn't have my case number on file and told me that if I didn't have that letter than the website approval didn't really mean very much.

NVC can and will be slow, during our process we had almost no contact from them other than to say our case has been transferred to the embassy in Hong Kong, as soon as that happened we got a letter in the mail saying the case was being processed in Hong Kong.

Happy Holidays!!! You got better things to worry about like gifts for the new in-laws and family!! :P

call the Nvc see if they have received it yet.

I did call NVC. They were the ones who told me that they had no record of the case, and that until I received the hardcopy there was nothing they could do....

Finally got the hardcopy in the mail yesterday! Yay!!!!

But called NVC, and they dont have the case yet....sigh.....more waiting....

Congratulations on getting the hard copy. You might have to wait a bit for NVC to get the file. I think they send them out in "batches". Also, don't go by the automated phone number, and enter your case number for a K-1. You'll need to talk to a live person and give identifying information.

Very cute picture!!

Hope you hear something soon.
