Jenya,

Do you think it was because of getting it entered into the NVC or the delay from CSC getting it there? CSC has not even updated the website on our approved applications. The website shows pending.. Brilliant work from USCIS!! Best of luck to you and soon you will be united with your spouse..

USCIS updated their status for my case immediately. This is completely my own speculation, but I think it was NVC that was slow to enter my application in their system. From what I read in other topics, they have an influx of applications around now, so it's taking them a longer.

I-130:

Hello Jenya,

I can definately understand your frustation. Did USCIS give you a date by which you should get a reply?

As Urge briefly explained, what I did was call NVC and ask to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor told me if our petition was in the building it would be in the computer and there was nothing she could do. I felt the supervisor was telling a lie because I seriously doubt the government is using RFID. So I called the USCIS and used the option for petitions already approved. I explained that NVC claims our petition never arrived and that NVC stated it can take up to four weeks, plus it was already 28 days. I asked if my petition could be resent and she put in a request to expedite. The lady informed me I would get an answer by 11-20, which was the day I was told our our petition was forwarded to the Embassy.

Naturalization

3/23/14 - N400 package sent to Phoenix

3/27/14 - N400 package delivered

4/3/14 - NOA1 receipt date

4/4/14 - check cashed

04/29/14 - biometrics date

07/01/14 - interview date

xx/xx/xx - Oath Ceremony

Hello My Honey. I think the delay once again falls under USCIS. I called them today (using the RFE line) to check and see if they had sent our petition to NVC. The lady was very nice and explained to me that 130 boxes are sent DAILY to NVC. She also told me that our I-129F was tranferred to NVC on Friday December 7th (almost 3 weeks after approval). So as you can see, after USCIS approves them, they still keep them there for a while in that they call "NVC Staging area". But luckily our case is on the way to NVC....

Agreed D&N! They are everywhere anymore.

I think you found an idiot. Imagine that, a moron in government service!!!! I'm stunned

I just called NVC and the guy told me that for I-129F it goes directly to the consulate bypassing NVC. Is this even remotely possible? Or is he just an idiot?

My visa was approved today, but we would have had severe problems unless we stayed on top of their A$$es. NVC sent our petition to the embassy on 11/09, embassy receives and and processes it on 11/13, but they "forgot" to send the packet to my wife, and when they finally did on 12/04/2007, they sent her the packet for the IR1/CR1 visa. It was only because we continued to call them once or twice a week that finally we found out on 12/04/07 (last tuesday) of the interview date today, and we really had to rush to get all the papers together, and luckily my wife started early with the police checks because some of those can take 2 or 3 weeks to get in Peru. Basically, even after USCIS, stay on top of them and keep calling and asking questions.

I-130/CR1 visa

04/23/2007--NOA1 Date from CSC

10/15/2007--NOA2 Date, FINALLY!!

I-129F/K-3 visa

05/23/2007--NOA1 date, currently at NBC (MSC)

10/15/2007--APPROVED!!! (NOA2 Date)

11/09/2007--I-129F petition forwarded to U.S. Embassy in Lima, Peru

12/12/2007--interview in Lima, Peru...VISA APPROVED!!!

12/26/2007--POE was Miami, FL and final destination was Charlotte, NC

I-485/AOS and I-765/EAD

3/18/2008--NOA1 Date from MSC

4/08/2008--biometrics appointment

5/07/2008--I-765/EAD approved

5/14/2008--EAD received in the mail (albeit wrong birth year)

9/30/2008--AOS Interview...AOS APPROVED and I-551 stamped in Passport!!!

Yesterday, I called CSC to find out when our applications were sent to the NVC. I did speak to a guy who was nice and said your applications were sent out a couple of days after your approval. So, I guess I can pick the day when USCIS mailed our K3 because he wasn't exactly sure. Also, yesterday I received an approval email finally updating our approvals from November 20, 2007 for the K3.:wacko: But, our I-130 is still pending.... Go figure.... Its not a wonder why there so many problems at CSC (WAC's) because they just can't get it together!!
