If you're a K1 they won't even let you into the consulate. I was with my husband in Casablanca when he had his interview. I waited outside at a cafe. He did take my passport with him to show the CO that I was there with him at the time. She seemed (or so he said) to really be impressed by this fact, so if you can go to Egypt at that time by all means do. Just be prepared to wait outside for hours alone! It did help though becuase I was able to sort out a few confusing things to my husband whose English wasn't sooo great at the time. But he made it through the interview and everything in English. Good luck. I think that the multiple marriage issue will be brought up, for this reason. They don't want the immigrant to become a burden on the state. If you have a history of failed marriages, that he knows about and he is younger they could see it as him using you and your rocky past to get to the US and then hope for a divorce. This obviously may not be true but something that needs to be considered and seriously addressed.

I am very happy for your approval and next step in this process. You are right it is in God's hands and His will be done. I am a firm believer that everything happens in this world by God's will so my best guidence for you is to keep your faith strong and know that whatever or how long is all up to God. Speculating only causes stress so pray as that is all that you can do. Ask God to guide you and follow His guidence. God Speed!

If someone gets denied their visa, does that mean God is giving them a sign that it wasn't meant to be, or is it a test of their patience and strength to be together?

Casa will not let the USC into the consulate during the interview for ANY visa. In some consulates, Egypt is one, the USC can attend.

I consider it God closing THAT particular door. Doesn't mean we aren't meant to be...just means maybe He doesn't want us in USA. So we look for the window He left open. When God closes one door, he opens another.

I have written permission to be inside the embaassy for his interview from the consulate. I will be taking that with me to ensure entry. I know I can't go to the actual interview window...but the email states i may be with him inside the consulate to wait.

It sure seems like there's a lot of ways to interpret what God is trying to tell you.

It means that God is just as confused by all the paperwork as we are. ;)

Do you think you might get confused about his "signs"?

I know I've pm'd you already but I really am so happy for you. This has been a long time coming and you should revel in the moment. I remember how excited I was about getting the interview date, etc. Just try to live it one day at a time.

And although I've already said this to you in private, just in case others don't know......showing up for the interview does not mean you won't have a long AP. I went to Usama's and although the guy didn't show up for work that day it was on record that I was there and we are still 4 1/2 months into AP. I am very grateful that I could be there though because it is a very intimidating place to be and I think it helped my husband to have me there and to have already been there once. The people there who were alone looked VERY nervous so having someone with you will be good for your fiance.

I wish you all the best of luck hon! :luv:

Thank you so much. We were really just doing this for his peace of mind...but still hoping they notice. My understanding is that the AP process is long no matter what compared to other consulates. 4-5 months seems the normal...I just dont think 8-12 months is the norm. Maybe we end up withthat...maybe we dont....Its all in Gods hands.

And yes, I do believe God gives signs...and we are human..so of course they can be mistaken. BUT....if we really pray and ask..God WILL guide...Im sorry, seems some dont believe that..that is their option...this is the option I choose.

I think one of the hardest things in this life is trying to discern God's will from our own will. A comon prayer in many 12 step groups is God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference. :luv:

It is hard...but I believe Gods will is stipulated in the Bible and Quran..when we live within those guidlines we are living in His will.
