I131 during AOS period - quick question

Hello there,

couldn't find any information on my particular case online and would like to test this resource. In the I-131 filing instructions there is no exeption made for a E-2 visa holder. Since I am a E-2 visa holder and have just filed for AOS (I485) due to my marriage to a US citizen in August, I assume that I need parole under I-131 for the re-entry from a business trip to germany next week. I filed the I-131 3 weeks ago but have not yet received any reply. Under no circumstances do I want to endanger my status upon return to the US. What do I need to be sure of this? A I-131 receipt? Should I stay in Germany until I get the receipt?

If anyone can give me any advice I would very much appreciate it. I have filed without attorney.

You need the AP document, this can take up to 90 days to get.

You may want to schedule an Info-Pass appointment to your local USCIS field office and see if they will issue it to you.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.
