Well we got my fiances ticket. He will leave Brazil tomorrow night. His layover at JFK is only 2 1/2 hours long. Do you think he will make his next flight? If he misses it will Delta just put him on the next flight?

They should be able to reassign him to the next flight if necessary.

My husband took almost three hours to get through when he arrived, but from what I've read, this was longer than the norm.

You might be cutting it close, but there's no way of knowing for sure.

He should be fine, that should be enough time to make the connection, especially if he is in the same terminal as customs and immigration.

Since its a weekday he has a good chance of making it through. I have had problems on weekends only - weekdays sometimes you get through in minutes and have time to get a sandwich and a beer! Good Luck

My fiancee made it though in about one hour. It was also 1 am, and our flight was the only one going through immigration. Even though jfk is not your final destination, i think you will have to get your bags, go though customs and check back in again with delta. This could take some time. I would call delta and check it out. Worst case, you catch the next flight. No worries, you have the K-1 so the hardest part is over. Added bonus, you get the 90 day EAD at jfk!!

We know he will have ot get his bags..because he fles into JFK with Aero Mexico. We are flying through JFK to get the temp ead. My moms office is going to let him work there for 90 days He already has his ss# so it has worked out well

My hubby came through JFK everytime and never had a problem. And once he only had an hour between flights. It was pretty hairy for a while.

I am walking on air . We talked last night and I gave hima calling card number so he can call me when he gets to New York (in case he misses the next flight). I dont want to be stuck in Atlanta if he wont be coming in for awhile.

i think with ANY POE it just depends...how many flights come in, how many immigrants there are, what time it is...

Stewart got through LAX at a busy time in a remarkably short time...and made a 2 hour connection with about 15 mins to spare...
