Hi all,

Long time lurker while we were getting our GC, and first time poster. I am a US citizen currently back in the states doing my PhD. My wife is a Japanese national with a new green card. Unfortunately we are broke as I am going to school and they pay us graduate assistants very little and my wife isn't covered by my insurance through my school. Sadly it seems, that since she hasn't been a permanent resident for long enough (5 years they say here in Arizona) that she isn't a candidate for cheap state sponsored insurance (other than emergency care only). We are desperately trying to seek some sort of reasonable insurance that will allow her doctor's visits from time to time without break our currently meager bank.

Oh well in hopes that some of the knowledgeable and kind folks here might know something thought I'd see if anyone else was/is in a similar boat once.

Thanks for your time :help:

When I was first married and it was too expensive to go on my husband's plan, I had to go without...Aetna had some 60.00/month plans, but they covered practically nothing. You get what you pay for, unfortunately.
