When the NVC says your case has been completed, does that mean they have sent it to the Embassy/Consulate already? If not, how long after the case being completed do they usually send it to the embassy/consulate?

Also, what does it mean that a consulate is an 'appointment post'?

So after you hear that your case has been sent to the embassy.. can you call the NVC and ask them when the interview is scheduled for? Will they tell you? After how long is this information available?

You should go to the US Embassy Amman to check how they handle the appointment times. I'm only familiar with the Philippines where we can search for appointment by entering the NVC #. Mine was there on 12-3 so it didn't take long after NVC sent the case to show up.
