Why are people so stupid???

A few minutes ago, I heard water being splashed on what I thought was the outside back walls of our apartment. I thought "spring cleaning" by the apartment complex owners/managers. It continued for a another few minutes and then I got up to see what exactly was going on, as it seemed very concentrated on our apartment...Our patio/balcony thingy is frigging drenched!!!! A new gas grill we bought last feckin' week is soaked, as our the 2 fabric chairs we have outside

It turns out, that the apartment upstairs is vacant and the complex owners/managers had arranged for it to be cleaned by "professionals"...so professional in fact, that they didn't realise that when you spray water all over a wooden balcony thingy, that the water will flow through the gaps!!!! onto the people's porch downstairs!!! And boy was it flowing!!

What maddens me the most, is that, not one person informed us of this "professional cleaning" so we could take our stuff in from outside. My hubby told me to relax, that I shouldn't get myself in a tizzy over it, but I'm just amazed at how stupid these people were!! I rang the apartment office and politely but firmly, told them that they should have had the common decency to inform us that this cleaning was happening, as any intelligent person would know that water would drip from a 2nd floor wooden balcony down to the next.

I would be totally p----ed off too, if I were you. I think you did the right thing by calling them and telling them how you feel. If there's any damage to your belongings, I would call them back and tell them you want them either repaired or replaced.

That was a very stupid thing for "professionals" to do!!!!!

Well, as it happens our balcony thingy is closed completely on 3 sides and the rest is sheltered by trees, therefore even in the most torrential downpours, it's never once gotten wet...so on a bright sunny day like today, I certainly wasn't expecting what just happened.

Just hope that they weren't using any cleaning chemicals that would bleach or damage your soft chairs outside on the patio. Not quite the same as rain!

Use the word 'professional' loosely
