Anyone watch the New Doctor Who on Friday night?

It took awhile for me to get into it... but the episode was amazing! Doctor Who has come a long long way... I never thought a Doctor Who episode would make me cry, especially not for a Dalek. I really hope the rest of the series is that good...

Hubster did the same... but watched it by himself...hehehe I really don't want to get into watching another show...and I have a strong feeling it wouldn't be something I'd enjoy anyway.

They've only JUST picked Dr Who up in the US and started showing it on the sci-fi channel.

It was hard to come to grips with the Doctor as a short-haired guy with an attitude... he seemed a world away from my main memories of the Doctor - Tom Baker, Colin Baker and before that the elegant and refined white-haired guy (can't remember his name...) But from what you say I won't have to put up with him for long

Dalek was the first and so far only episode I've seen. I didn't know it was on because they didn't advertise it in advance!

Yeah - he left but he IS a great Dr!! You will enjoy the show

It is a good show, though the robot was a little corny!!

Great the Dr. is on US TV, although I don't have cable maybe I will be able to catch an episode or two when I housesit. I started to like the New Who last summer in Calgary when Iwas up there visiting. The Doctor was on his season finale and he had already changed into a new guy. I always liked the old Tom Baker series

Well I liked him, I think he will grow into the role, and even Eccleston tok a couple episodes to get used to (my prev faves being Tom Baker and Jon Pertwee) -So I say I'm looking forward to seeing more Tennant; I always was a sucka for the boyish good looks tho

You are wrong, the US is not just now catching on to Dr. Who. I am excited however to hear it is still on somewhere. My first husband and I used to watch it back in the 80s every weekend. We saw it through about 3 or 4 doctors I think - don't know now it's been so long and I'm blonde. No way I can remember much detail from so far back.

I don't remember which channel it was on then either, just that we lived in Tennessee.

So it's on the Sci-Fi channel on Saturday nights? What time Eastern? I'll have to check it out if it doesn't run at the same time as McCloud's Daughters, but I think that's over for the season.
