I'm not sure where this question belongs since it's for the USC. I need a new passport since mine is going to expire, but even before then I want to change my last name on the passport to match everything else I have (and the ticket I'll buy). Has anyone done this? Can I renew my passport and change my last name at the same time? I imagine I can...but thought I'd see how someone else has done it. Thanks!

If it's been over a year since the passport was issued in the old name, you have to do a renewal to change the name anyway, so it's not even a "can I...?" question because you don't have a choice. :)

What do you mean exactly?

When we married, I sent in a copy of our certified marriage certificate with my passport renewal and renewed very easily, while changing my name.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

Jomo's girl,

You answered my question. I wanted to kill two birds with one stone.

Thanks.
