I'm back! :)

I got a letter from NVC today that gave me the case number and told me that the case was being sent to USEM in Ghana.:content::star:

Can you give me a hint of how you came up with a reference? This is what I tried from OmizoTusha's post, EXP 2 DEC 2007A. But they didn't get anything. Maybe it wasn't sent yet or maybe I need to determine another reference. My file was approved on a Sunday, maybe I should use Monday's date? What do ya'll think?

Do you know if it has left NVC yet? If not you are not going to get anything. Also, fool around with the dates, it is possible that they only pick up packages on specific days so even if you are told it was sent Dec 5 for example, it may have been received by DHL a couple of days before or after. I was told by NVC that mine was sent on Sept 11 but when I checked the website it was actullay Sept 12.

I haven't been able to get through, so I guess I better go back to the phones. I've been calling but they shoot you back to the automated system once no operators are available. I'll just keep trying to speak with someone to ask if my file has been sent yet. They will give me a reference number then? After I received the letter today, I thought I could use that information to try and find it. I'll tell you when I get through. Thanks for your help.

All that NVC can give you, besides the info in the letter, is the day it left NVC. Do you know when it was received at NVC. If so, add a couple of days to that date (since they don't stay at NVC that long) and try those on the DHL website. You should be able to get soemthing. Try calling NVC really early in the morning or close to closing. The only time I called, it was 8 am EST and I got through right away.

I got through.

:crying:

I spoke to a woman and she told me that my case was not forwarded to the embassy. It wasn't really easy to understand her cause she had a heavy asian accent. She told me that my case is in Administrative Processing and she can't tell me why or where. She said I could only call NVC as often as I want to find out when the status changes.

What a bummer :(

Call back Friday and see what they say. Hopefully it won't be too long.

I called again today. I don't know why. Anyway, the gentleman I spoke to was much nicer. He told me that they are doing security checks and it shouldn't be long, but they can't predict a time frame.

I'm in prayer about this and oddly, not for a result, but rather for patience and peace of mind. I kind of crashed when I spoke to the first lady and called Bassi crying. Which of course upset him (he hates when I cry and I seem to do it often now). Then I started praying for God to strengthen me and show me tranquility and peace and allow me to sit back and wait without feeling stressed and upset and overwhelmed. I felt myself calming and I called Bassi back. We talked it over and prayed on it. What will be will be.....I feel much better about it now than I did. I am going to continue to add a request for tranquility to my daily prayers. I need it now.

I will add my prayers too.

I hope the checks will not be that long. I think everyone goes through security checks at NVC so it will just be a matter of time and you can start harassing the embassy in Accra
