In the biographical information forms there are 4 identical copies. I believe it says to fill out all 4, but does anyone know why the reason is for this? Just curious...

Also, if you had an alien registration number- would you know it? I'm so confused. I know this paperwork seems pretty self explanatory, but I just want to make certain everything is absolutely correct.

I have wondered the same thing about the G 325's. We have had to include 4 copies each time we filed for anything. I have learned to just do what they ask for and not question the logic behind it. :)

As far as the A# goes- I didn't get an A# until I got the approved I-129 for my K3 Visa. Just put N/A if they ask for it and you don't have one.

Put N/A for allien registration #. Just a thought about the 4 copies of G-325A form, maybe because there are 4 offices that need each one of those so they will have their own records. Like for example the 1 page will go for USE and the other one Canada embassy, i wonder where the 2 goes but oh well it is just a thought. ;)

They are not identical copies, the G-325A form is a 4 page form, fill out page 1 and print all 4 pages, each page has different department boxes for different parts of USCIS, DOS, and Consulate.

Do not fill out page 1 and make 3 photo copies of page 1, they need page 1,2,3 and 4.

I had the joy and pleasure of filling out the paper version of this form twice. It has four pages, each a different colour and different notation on the bottom, indicating the department that particular page was to be sent to. There are carbon pages between each page. Had to press pretty hard to get an imprint on all the pages. If I had a supplemental page to answer a question, I had to make 4 copies of it. Filling out the form "electronically" is so much easier!

But like YuandDan said, each page is different -- sending in 4 copies of the first page will not suffice.

Why do any forms have multiple copies anymore? They've only had the copy machine for how many years now? And, it all gets entered into a database anyway. Who knows why they still have it this way? Just comply and send in the four copies for you and four for your fiancée. Plus, they do have a small difference, they make a notation at the very bottom to distinguish them apart.

As for the A#. you will get that later down the road. Just put "N/A" for now!

My guess is, when each G-325A is being sent to its different spot, they don't want to take the time to make the photocopies - too much time would be spent doing it, and I'd imagine some would get lost along the way. And seeing how databases and servers can corrupt or even fail, they'd want the paper copy for backup emergencies.

It's surprisingly easy to fill it out on the computer - all the fields get entered along the way, and you only have to print the 4 copies.

But do double-check each copy. I've worked with non-immigration (work-related) related PDF's that were supposed to copy certain fields across all pages, but sometimes didn't quite work.

For instance the G-325A form submitted are 4 copies yet the pages are not exactly 1, 2, 3, and 4. Is this reason enough for the service center to send RFE to the petitioner for the correct pages of such form?
