Is it possible to create a tax related forum. This issue comes up a hell of a lot and numerous threads are scattered across the board in most of the forums. I just feel that as this is an issue that creates much interest to those immigrating and to the USC that it would be deserving of its own forum. That way the information and questions could be contained and more easily found by those looking for information on this topic. Any thoughts?

That's a great idea. You really need to read up on the tax laws yourself, as most professionals really don't have a clue. And to have it in one area makes so much sense.

I used the thread Gimygirl posted, and got all the info we needed to file correctly and get a nice tidy sum deposited into our account. I also found Reinhard to be very helpful too...so thanks lads!!

I think it's an excellent idea....many of us deal with foreign income exclusion (we have for three years now) and yes, there are links on the IRS site to form 2555 and Pub 54, but breaking it all down from tax-speak to normal-people language as several have done has been very helpful to a lot of folks..... I thank Reinhard too!!!!
