19 flippin degrees here. I am sitting in my new bedroom, drinking my morning coffee. I sure miss my morning cigarette. (damn happy pills  )

So today consists of putting things away. I still can't find the creamer for my coffee. I hope LaL is having a safe move.

Jackie (F) Have a good day ya'll

lal is supposed to be here today. i've not heard anything yet. is this new place of yours bigger, smaller, or the same size? i'm glad to hear you moved, that helped me out too in the past (F)

Rain rain rain

I'm at work but feeling nauseous, I can't seem to kick the sick thing. Last night I woke up and had to throw up but when I ran out of the bedroom, I made it to the bathroom just fine but then sat on the floor waiting for it to happen for the next 1/2 hour. Eventually I gave up and went back to bed and all was fine till this morning as I was driving to work. Where's that green smiley when you need it? lol. I'm pretty sure it was just the food I ate last night because we had shrimp but it didn't quite taste right, yet Ramy didn't feel sick at all and he said the shrimp tasted just fine.

I can't wait to post more pictures of the wedding and the jeep and our day at the flea market (yesterday) but when I'm home I'm never on the net anymore! Just at work.

Divorced. To hell with him.

 Big Azz with a true 10' standout. Gotta love a stiff one. I have to measure a new construction house today and it is only 23 degrees  No heat, at least there are windows in it. Brrrrrrr. Then go sit at my desk for 6 hours and drink hot chocolate.

I finally found my creamer for coffee. Now if I could only remember where I packed the remote control for the TV.

charles--today I will be rollin with a 30' Stanley. Can't use the laser, no drywall up yet :hehe:

Happy Monday everyone.

I'm feeling pretty tired this morning and nervous for my final exam in cooking class. The teacher is pretty crazy and will mark you down if one piece of your chopped tomato isn't the same exact size as the others. I guess that's a good thing though and good to learn.

Have a good day!

What cooking school are you in? And yes, the chefs can be kinda nuts, but you learn to love it and pretty soon you'll find yourself doing it too :P

Just be very afraid when they decided to see if they can break you, usually means you started off on the wrong foot

haha I have seen this happen to a few students and it isn't pretty! Luckily I haven't had that problem yet.

The city college in my town has a really good and well known culinary program so I decided to spend $2,000 on school instead of $50,000.

Charles, I did not post the 'war-ender' in MENA as to not humiliate you. I took the big guns to Off Topic. Need I remind you yet again that my laser technology and my 200' tape has completely oblitarated any hope of you 'out-taping' me. Give it up big guy, I won.

Have a good day!

Sarah since you are a chef or at least a chef in training, i was wondering - when I see chefs making fancy cakes on TV (like ace of cakes or on the cake competitions) most of the time instead of icing they cover the cakes in something that they roll out with flat or put through a flattening machine. i know that i have had this before in chocolate and maybe in vanilla at weddings. what is it called? my husband is a very good cook and wants to make a special cake for my son's upcoming birthday and asked me to look up a recipe for the stuff. thanks in advance!

It's called fondant. I personally don't like the taste but it makes cakes look smooth and very pretty. As far as I know, those cake places generally buy lage quantities of fondant. I'm not sure how it's made but I have seen it in the craft store where I live. Let me know how it goes! I am taking a cake class with fondant in January and I can't wait!
