Hello,

My wife and I had our AOS interview in August. At the interview we recieved an RFE (I-72) that was Due November 8, 2007. We sent the response to the RFE certified with return reciept and it was signed for on November 5th. We still haven't recieved a NOA for our response to the RFE. Does anyone know if this is normal. Are we supposed to recieve a NOA on this?

I don't believe so. did the IO indicate at the interview when the evidence was received everything would be Ok? if you don't hear something soon maybe you can schedule an infopass appointment to check on your status.

He said that he didn't have any doubts as to the legitimacy of our marriage. He just needed proof that she wasn't subject to the 2 year home-residency requirment (212e) because she was here on a j-1 visa. We provided him with an advisory opinion from the state department stating that she wasn't subject to the rule.

Hi, I didn't have an interview, but I did have an RFE. They don't mail you any NOA when they received the docs, but if you inquire about the status online, they give you an update when they received the documents. They also send you an email if you have created an account. Hope this helps. Good luck and God bless...

I also did not receive a NOA for the documents I sent back after receiving a RFE for the AOS application. But within a month after that they processed my case. The next note from USCIS should be the 'Welcome to the USA letter'.

Good luck with that and as stated above, if you do not hear anything soon and cannot find info online, maybe schedule an infopass appointment to make sure everything is ok.
