Had our AOS interview today in New Orleans. Got there at 10.00 for a 10.45 appointment, waited til about 10.50 then got called into the office by a friendly, pleasant woman. She asked us to swear to tell the truth then asked a couple of questions about how we met, when we got married, asked me what my wife's birthday is and what date we got married on. She asked to see some photos of the wedding and then asked for proof of our life together. Showed her our joint mortgage documents, joint car and home insurance, bank statements with both names on. She seemed concerned that we didnt have tax return documents for 2007 and told us that we would have to mail those to them in order to get approved. Then she went and photocopied the documents we gave her. When she came back in she said she had talked to her manager and now we didnt have to mail in our tax documents after all!!

So we are approved

She said to wait 10 days or so to get the "welcome to America" letter and the green card will be in the mail

Im so happy today and Thankful to you all guys here in Visajourney who help me with this stuffs. We got our Interview this morning and it went so well. The interviewer told us to raise our hands and swear to tell the truth. Then, asked us couple of questions regarding our marriage. How did we meet and what can we say to eachother as a couple. He asked some questions in the form we already answered when we submit the application. He never asked anymore for more evidence. not even our pictures or any other evidence. I handed him the 2007 tax return but i forgot to photocopy the one with our signatures. But, he just told us- its not a big deal. Then after the interview- he told us that he can only gave me conditional greencard w/c is for 2 year greencard. Then apply for 10 year greencard before 2 year frame or before it expired. He congratulate us and then we thanked him too. Thats it... it took only for 10 minutes. Then, when i look my email this afternoon- i got an email from CRIS for card production that my card will be mailed to me within 30 days. yahoo..... Thanked God ofcourse for his help. So guys, just keep on praying and everything will be okey.

We had our AOS interview on Wednesday at 8:45am in San Francisco. It was a pleasant interiew. Her biggest concern was how we plan to support ourselves. We are currently living with my parents, who are our co-sponsors. My husband is still looking for a job. Thankfully we had a photocopy of everything we sent in because the proof of citzenship for our co-sponsor was misplaced. I was able to whip it out from our papers and give it to her. Phew! The case seemed decided from the start. No big concerns. She said she was approving the case and ordered the card right then and there. By the time we got home we had an email from CRIS stating that the card had been ordered. Wa-hoo! We are thrilled to be done with this for the next 10 years.

Thanks to Visa Journey! Three cheers!!!

Good luck to you all.
