Hmmm ! I've been having a few problems here to in ME, need GC to get drivers licence. On top of that, most employers here are also asking that you must have State ID / driving licence for the job, and there is this background check thing all over again with them too (as if we have not been throught that already to get the EAD and GC, let alone the one from your own home country!!)

The drving licence here is a must to do anything as it's not one of the metropolis States, but in saying that, its a nice place to live.

Definitely hard to look for a job. I tried applying though and they required validation of credentials... after i'd done with the validation they approved my application and now waiting for interview schedule this month. Driving is so much necessity in our place. Im praying that the time of the job i will get will be the same with my husband's. Thinking of enrolling in driving school but... my gosh!!!! its so expensive here.

Again, make sure you have all the details correctly. Whether filling out the dates, addresses, zip codes, BE VIGILANT about details. Sometimes, when people are in a rush to get it out, they begin to neglect the details. Check and double check your work.

Lost or missing Appointment letters. It's worth the phonecall if you have been waiting too long.

02/26/08 Called USCIS 800 number. Very friendly and helpful individual and supervisor.

Found out correct MSC numbers. Also found out that we missed the Bio appointment!

We never received any appointment letter. (Originally set for January)

Went to local support office and asked about re-scheduling the Bio. Very nice manager at the office

did our Bio then and there, without having to wait since they were not busy.

Numbers now show up on the web page as well.

Hopefully I will get any future appointment letters (Interview).

Hello everyone,

Finally my EAD and AP got approved!! Woow both took 101 days!! (It's over the 90 days standard time)

Hmmm they approve me the day before of my InfoPass appt. Do you guys think I should still go to meet them tomorrow? Or just cancel the appt now? My hubby already took the half dayoff for tomorrow because he needs to drivve me there. Any advice? Thanks!!

I feel your pain! I wonder if it's living in California that's the problem. I haven't heard ANYTHING on my AOS either, not even a transfer notice.

I really have no idea how they process our documents, there are cases who are approved quickly and others dont. I dont know also if my documetns will be transferred to CSC, i noticed here, most of K3-AOS have interview appointements that's why im assuming of an interview. I will be relieved to at least know when is the interview date.

Is it advisable to do an infopass? Is it still early to do that?

I received my EAD card in the mail today, last touch was after my Biometrics, no emails updates for the approval. I was so delighted to get it in the mail, t'was a nice surprise. i got my AP on the 29th of February as well. EAD and AP have the same approval date but they sent it on different dates.

Right now i'm quite nervous about my upcoming interview which is 10 days from now (March 13). I did have gathered all the necessary documents listed on the interview notice, just waiting for the vaccination supplement form from DR. LE ARNOLD. Other than that, i guess i'm quite ready

Need to go job hunting tomorrow, apply for state ID and maybe call SSA to remove the restriction on my SSN.

"VALID FOR WORK WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION ONLY".

Well, i haven't done it yet. Maybe i'll just wait for the GREEN CARD (Fingercrossed) to arrive before calling or going to SSA office to have it remove. From what i read here you need to have the green card to have an unrestricted SSN. I might be mistaken, not really sure about this matter.

Oh, it's only 2 days and it will be our interview. Wish me luck guys.

I dont think you can remove that restriction until you get your greencard.. even with the EAD

I am happy to report that I got emails yesterday and today informing me that I my EAD and AP had been approved. I was getting desperate there for a minute but I am glad that they managed to approve me in 70 days. Now all I am waiting on is the interview date.

I am happy too!! Congratz that you got approved finally!! Yay!! Me too but mine got approved in 100 days!! So you are way better than me though!! Right, the next step is waiting for the interview date!!
