Why is everyone concerned about when the checks are cashed, etc.? When you get your NOAs it says right on there how much you paid. I'm assuming this means they've cashed it before they send the NOAs out?

I HATE miles, gallons, pints, words spelled without u's, and all that other jazz...

Because once the check is cashed and you can view it online you can get the receipt number and begin checking the status of your case even before you receive the NOA via snail mail. Theoretically, anyway.

Also, if for some reason you don't get the NOA1 in the mail or it is delayed, you at least know that the package was received and accepted.

I see. But isn't the number on the check different from the number you use to check your case status? That's the impression I have gotten. I don't think it would make a difference anyways. By the time you get your NOAs the only update on your case status would be the "case received and pending" one that I've had since November 2nd.

Yes, it seems the numbers are different, which is confusing because for the I129 that wasn't the case.

And yes, there won't be much to check in that period of time but we're all neurotic about this process and want to know every detail we possibly can as soon as we possibly can. So...

Oh, I agree. We're all neurotic. lol

Something is way off with the whole thing though. I got my email update on December 1st when the last update on my case was on November 25th. Makes it hard to estimate when anything will be done. I'm sick of checking and seeing the same thing.
