After worrying myself to death I checked our cases online again today as it is my daily ritual!!!!! And to my amazement our EAD was touched yesterday!!! I hope this means we'll get an approval soon for the EAD

I see that many JANUARY filers already have their AOS appointments scheduled. How can this be? Are there other December filers with no movement whatsoever on their AOS?!

We got the EAD card in the mail and the AP, but no updates since then. I don't mind so much, I'm just relieved that hubby can find a job now.

The AP came with no instructions or anything. I read on here somewhere that if you travel with the AP, you need to take both sheets and I think immigration will take one when leaving? Or is it entering? I don't know.

Now we need to figure out how to get started on the K2 follow to joins.

Thanks jlvr....we're happy that we've crossed this hurdle too. My hubby is getting his license (our DPS is so busy, its a 3 day procedure...but he's passed the written, he just needs to get an appt. to take the driving test) and we still need go back to the SS office for my name change and the issuing of a normal (not written on in red) SS ard for my hubby....but otherwise we're set for a bit.

Does anyone know. how long after the Card Production ordered email, should we receive the card. What is a good 'window of time'?

We got another e-mail, "Approval Notice sent", I'm assuming that's the Welcome to America letter, which we received the day before yesterday....but still no GC in the mail. Do they send the Welcome letter, then the GC, or at send them at the same time? I don't remember the procedure....anyone?

As I said a couple of days ago USCIS is unpredicable. Out of the blue we received the interview appointment letters today for April 2nd. No touches on the I-485's...... nothing. So, so much for any transfers to CSC and no interviews, but in any case we have an interview date and have time to prepare for them.

you give me hope because we have a really similar timeline.

I called the USCIS today and the woman told me they're taking 2 years to process marriage based visas!!!!!! When I told her that that's absolutely not true, she said, "I've been working here a little longer than you have" and HUNG UP ON ME!

Hey there, congrats on receiving both things for you and your daughter! Four reasons to celebrate...

I am still waiting to actually get it in the mail, it was approved on Feb 12 Card Production Ordered(received e-mail from CRIS) and then on the 15 I received another e-mail stating that they had mailed me the notice of approval... It´s been painful going to the mailbox all these days and not finding it there... ((sigh)) "it will come" I keep telling to myself as I walk away from the evil box. LOL

On the 19th of Feb. I thought my case just had been touched for the EAD. I was so excited I didn't think to click on our case number to see what it said. Well a few days ago I did click on it and it said that our EAD card production had been ordered and we would receive it within 30 days in the mail.

I know this sound stupid but I just have to ask.

I guess that means we got approved for the EAD right? I haven't got an email from CRIS about it being approved that is why I was wondering.

One more question how long does it take to get the EAD in the mail from the card production being ordered? Can it really take 30 days to receive?
