December AOS filers

I was approved for AP on 01/28/08, but up until the 01/28/08 my AP never showed up as being in the system. Our AOS and EAD showed in the system, and I called and was "told they received it". I checked on-line every couple of days, and I was so used to seeing the red lines pop up "about making sure I put the correct #". Well low and be hold this morning it was there with an approval. When it finally changed to Approved was a big treat.

So, if I were you. I would call the #800 and verify that it has been received.

Better yet put in the first 9 digits of your EAD and then add up 1 number

hipothetical EAD= msc1234567

try this AP?= msc1234568

I had my biometrics for both AOS and EAD on Jan 4th already. Right, I can see both AOS and EAD cases # on the appointment letter. But for the AP, I've never received any notice, the case # of AP, I just asked the officer checked for me while I did my biometrics at Buffalo NY.

I got a CRIS email yesterday telling me that my AOS application has now been transferred from CSC to my local office (New Orleans). I hope this doesn't mean I have to have an interview after all???

My husband had his biometrics yesterday in Charlotte, NC. We got there about 40 mins early so we just went in and waited. We were out 30 mins after his scheduled time but an hour and a half after we got there. That'll teach us to be early I suppose. Our case was transferred to CSC in december, so will we still have an appointment? I don't know what we're supposed to do now other than wait. Any ideas?

I feel so too...after the biometrics, it seems that everything just slow down, nothing to do but WAIT!!!

we received an email notice saying that Feb 1st they mailed an approval notice for the EAD. Interesting that of comes after a notice of a card order. I wonder if the card comes with the approval notice. Anyone know?

We went today for my husband's biometrics. Our appointment was for 11:00 am and we got there only about 5 minutes early, which was good, b/cuz the office was full and they were only letting people in that had appointments on or around that time. We came out at 12:35, so not too bad.

On a good note, I can finally see both EAD and AP in the system. Until now it always came up "case # unknown" or whatever it would say in red, only the AOS was showing. But now that EAD/AP are online, hopefully we'll get the AP, at least approved soon, w/ EAD not far behind...now that biometrics is over and done with.

During the biometrics, I, witnessed a scene that made me ashamed a little to call myself a USC. We were waiting in line after filing out the form we were given....we had about 15 people ahead of us. The person being 'served' at the counter looked to be South Asian (perhaps Indian, but I don't know). He gave his papework, the woman at the reception desk verified it, gave it back to him and gave him a #. After he walked off to take a seat and wait, the woman took a can of disinfectant spray(like Lysol) and sprayed the counter and around her immediate area. :o I couldn't believe what I was seeing....shameful! She didn't do it again, w/ anyone else while we were there, but it just didn't sit well w/ me. At the end of the biometrics, they gave my husband a yellow survey form to fill out, commenting on how he liked the "service" provided to him at that office. I was tempted to write this incident down there, but we were in a hurry to make it to the next appointment we had, and I just didn't have time. In any case, it was not well done of the USCIS worker. Not well done at all!

I bet you will hear something within the next 2 weeks --- provided the processing is still status quo --- it just seems as if it is taking 2 months until the EAD is ordered (in most cases)

yeah thats what my calculations says too , around 2 month from when you mail it ,

Earmuffs, Did you ever get email notices for your transfer. I recall me and you had the issue of no touches. I am wondering if CRIS sent you an email when your case was transfered or you got a hard copy?
